We have been studying for more than 8 years brown (grizzly) bear, Ursus arctos, and American black bear, Ursus americanus, behavior and habitat in North America.
Led by passion from the very start, we dedicate our lives to bear protection.
Photographers, naturalist reporters, we give lectures all around the world to raise the public awareness on the future of the bear.

Trackers, we cast and study tracks and grizzly and black bear signs. Our goal is to share our passion and to raise the public awareness about this mystical animal.

Our books, edited in only 500 copies, are true accounts, field experiences.
Although the work is scientifically oriented, they were meant for people who love Nature, wildlife and who really want to protect it.

We have therefore decided to write them as guides to enable people who wish so, to follow our tracks looking for bears and other great predators such as wolves, cougars, lynx or wolverine, with maps showing wildlife locations.

To better share our field experiences with you, those books are written every day, directly on the field. Through those pages, we want to share our passion with you, to let you know bear life, habitats, food habits, the problems they can encounter, but also our work with scientists and field men.
Photographs taken in the action, authentic old photographs, and lots of lodge and cabin addresses will help you to chose your way in bear country. This kind of document, which doesn’t exist anywhere else, allows naturalists or would be naturalists, or even those who wish to come and see the place for a short period, to be aware of environment and wildlife conservation, and to be able to treat them in a wise and scientific way.

« Isabelle and Alain Boyaval are some of those women and men for whom the respect of life and admiration for nature are essential. On the tracks of the twentieth century great naturalists who devoted their lives to apes, gorillas, tigers or others species, they decided to dedicate the most of their time to the study and the protection of bears. »
